大学でフォトジャーナリストを専攻するもサーフィンを始めると自然に夢はサーフィンカメラマンへと移行。雑誌サーフィンライフ、スタッフフォトグラファーを経て、現在フリーランスとしてボーダーレスで活躍中。サーフィン、ライフスタイル、ポートレイト、ファッションなどをテーマに、クラシカルでロマンチックな、叙情を感じる写真を探して世界中を旅している。
サーフィンを軸に世界中様々な海岸線を旅してきました。ハワイ、アジア、ヨーロッパ、アメリカ、もちろん日本も。その土地ならではの波、風景、人々、そして光。それらを陸の上から、海の中から被写体としてシャッターを切ってきました。人の記憶は儚く、曖昧なものですが、写真を見る度にその情景が甦ります。旅は冒険であり、発見の連続。作品を通してそれぞれの旅が与えてくれたものをシェアできればと思います。
Kenyu Takahashi has created a reputation as one of Japan's premium and most sought after professional Photographers. Kenyu specializes in Advertising and Commercial photography,marine lifestyle and action sports. Born in Japan Kenyu Takahashi story began in the mountains of Akita Japan, During his Childhood he showed interest in baseball, soccer, skiing. He moved to Shonan to attend Media Communication University majoring in Photography. This lead to his love of surfing and fascination with the ocean and water photography. The Beach culture of Shornan was an early influence and to this day remains a common theme in his portfolio. Kenyu started a full-time photography career Working as exclusive photographer to Marine planning corporation publishing company.During this time Kenyu was able to perfect his professional skills in Portrait / Still writing / Lifestyle / Fashion and has a great eye for shooting spontaneously. He has established a creative mind for storyboard project development and great directional skills. The last 14 years Kenyu has become a renowned freelance photographer, and become a regular contributor to influential publications with major Fashion / Lifestyle / Surfing / Travel / Corporate Advertising magazines.
